Nearly a decade ago, in a little Italian restaurant in South Norwalk, Jason and Silvia met while working the dinner shift. Jason was immediately taken with Silvia’s beauty and grace, and a New York charm that could disarm the ornery kitchen staff with the slightest glance. Silvia contends the initial attraction wasn’t mutual but if you ask Jay, he’s sure she was secretly entertained—if not enamored —with his antics as the inexperienced bartender & faux-manager. Over the course of that year at Goccia, they grew on each other and became friends fast.

In the years that followed, they remained in touch and found serendipitous moments to celebrate together. Whether it be Sil’s 21st birthday over the flame of hibachi, impromptu trips to Donut Delight, or a getaway to DC, the connection never waned.

Until one fateful weekend, on another adventure, this time with the waves of Hurricane Harvey crashing down on a Mexican beach. Jason, in his supreme athleticism, swept in just in time to save Silvia from a colossal breaker. Little did he know in that moment, it was Silvia who was truly saving him. And just like that, as ABBA says, “she took a chance on me!” From then on, they’ve been tantamount to inseparable. While living in different cities, they’ve put in the miles and hours to grow their bond and experience the world together. From boating in Sardinia to exploring castles of cheese in Wisconsin, Jason and Silvia have shared some amazing memories and are excited to share with you their greatest adventure yet!
